Want to see your work in Memunatu Magazine? Submit an entry in this month’s competition!

December Question:

Theme: “Art Imitates Life”

Popular phrases like this one describe how our own lives can inspire works of art (such as paintings, plays, songs, and more). This month, we ask you to be the artist and look at your own life:

What are you most passionate about?

This can be an activity you do, a place you visit, a cause you champion– you name it!

Memunatu Magazine is inviting secondary school students from across Africa and around the world to send in their responses to this question.

Submissions can be a drawing or painting  (that fits on one 8.5×11 inch sheet of paper). Each work of art should come with a 5-10 sentence description (on a separate page or in the online form) that explains

1) What you drew/ painted

2) Why it is your passion

3) The role it plays in your life

Each entering student needs a student sponsor to apply.

Entries for this month’s competition are due: January 5th at 11:59 PM EST
