Welcome to the Team: Trishula

Coming from Zimbabwe, girls education has always been important to me. While I had the opportunity to attend a private school, not all Zimbabwean girls had the opportunities I did. For that reason, I’m happy to be working with a project like Memunatu that aims to empower girls across the African continent. I’m currently a PhD student in the history department at Georgetown University. I also have a B.A. and M.A. in history from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University. I’ve worked as a high school teacher, journalist, and photographer.
