Welcome to the Team: Martha Lee

Hello! My name is Martha Lee, and I serve as the Marketing Volunteer with Memunatu Magazine. I first met Mariama and Fatmata through our undergraduate studies and am very much looking forward to working with them in this capacity. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in History (Diplomatic) with a minor in Asian American Studies. I loved my time at Penn! I especially enjoyed the opportunities for leadership growth; I was a Resident Assistant, Vice President of Membership for Sigma Kappa Sorority, and after-school facilitator for the Urban Nutrition Initiative. I currently work at a federal government agency in Washington, D.C. In my spare time, I volunteer at a women’s shelter and attend spin classes. I am passionate about women and girls’ professional development and access to education and am ready to bring this excitement to the Memunatu team!
