Hello! My name is Hanna Galvin, and I am a junior at Georgetown University. I am majoring in Economics as well as a minoring in Sociology. This fall I will be interning with Memunatu Magazine working on the International Day of the Girl as well as coordinating with media partners. I hope my work and heart will empower not only girls in Africa but across the world to be able to achieve their greatest self by inspiring them to continue their pursuit in education. At school, when I am not hitting the books, I am member of the Georgetown Program Board, which helps student-directed, campus-wide groups with events that reflect the diversity of interests, backgrounds, and people at Georgetown. In my free time, I love going out with friends, eating ice cream at Thomas Sweets, exploring Washington, DC via bikes, walks, and metro, and occasionally watching an episode or two on Netflix.
