Hey everyone! This spring has been a busy time for Memunatu Magazine. Here is some of what went on:

Echoing Green Semifinalists:

Memunatu is a semi-finalist for the Echoing Green Fellowship! Echoing Green supports social entrepreneurs creating innovative solutions to problems in society. The fellowship provides a great opportunity to connect with other social entrepreneurs and take Memunatu to the next level – in the hands of students all over Sierra Leone.

Scholastic Magazines Meeting:

Thanks to Scholastic Magazines for inviting us to their offices in March! We learned a lot about what makes educational magazines work and look forward to meeting you in the future. Check out some of our  favorites from the meeting like Junior Scholastic and Upfront here (also see ça va?, at the bottom of the page)!

Clinton Global Initiative University Conference 2012:

CGIU 2012 at George Washington University was a great success. We enjoyed sharing our experiences with Memunatu and thanks to all who attended our skill session on taking projects from the idea stage to implementation. We look forward to hearing how everyone’s Commitments to Actions progress.
