Memuna Konteh is a multidisciplinary, British-Sierra Leonean writer and storyteller who specialises in the intersections of identity, culture and politics. Her debut novel is currently in development and she won the second place award in Hachette’s Mo Siewcharran Prize in 2021. Her narrative nonfiction essay, Building Community, was recently published in The Dinner Table anthology by Head of Zeus. Outside of work, Memuna’s interests include theatre, fashion, football (soccer) and good food. She believes strongly in the liberating power of literacy and is hopeful for a world where quality education is accessible to everyone.
