African leaders launch the Education Plus initiative – a huge step forward for girls’ education and empowerment in Africa (UNAIDS) The leaders of 10 African countries met in #Zambia this week to launch the Education Plus initiative. Meet Sasha dignity champion on a mission to end period poverty (Nation) Sasha Mbote is on a mission to end #periodpoverty. Her company, @UpendoWomen, has distributed menstrual kits and cups to over 100,000 women. In Kenya this year, they introduced the cup, which can last one woman 10 years.
