Schools and Organizations

Memunatu Magazine creates educational media to empower adolescent girls (10-17 yrs old) in Africa and the diaspora. Combining instructional design techniques with community-driven content strategy, Memunatu enables girls to be the writers, the readers, and leaders of their own narratives. 

We focus on building literacy skills for school and career success. Sign up your classroom, school or organization!

Memunatu Schools will receive:

  • Bi-monthly/monthly writing prompts for students. Students will receive written feedback on their entries and teachers will get quarterly reports on their class’ overall progress
  • Monthly editorial featuring inspiring African women and girls. These articles are great to share your students
  • Copies of the annual edition of Memunatu Magazine (print and/or digital) with an accompanying lesson plan to help facilitate classroom learning

Individuals (age 18+)

Are you a changemaker (current or aspiring) committed to empowering girls? Join Memunatu’s new membership program! 

Members will:

  • Receive monthly digital packs with inspiring content featuring African girls and women
  • Digital access to the Memunatu Magazine annual edition
  • Invites to events and sessions celebrating African voices and gender equality
  • Opportunity to support the mission–empowering girls — through monthly contributions

Join us to receive:

  • Bi monthly/ monthly wirting prompts where you can share your thoughts and ideas as well as get feedback on your writing
  • Monthly articles about inspiring African women and girls
  • Copies (print and/or digital) of Memunatu Magazine filled with tips for school, topics from across the world, features of African role models, and articles from readers like you.
