Thank You!

KIND Causes logoWhat a month! Thank you for all of your help with KIND Causes. We appreciate your help voting and spreading the word in person and online. Though we did not come away with the grant, we are proud of what we’ve accomplished, including reaching 6th out of 110 in April’s competition. Importantly we are excited about all of the people we met along the way interested in empowering girls in West Africa and around the world. Thanks for helping to make that happen! –Mariama

Preparing for the release of the #MemunatuKIND was so refreshing, and I am overjoyed with the outcome of the series. Prior to our official launch, it was exciting to explain our project idea and include our friends and peers through the photo series. Further, it was inspirational to see what #MemunatuKIND meant to them. Within the first week that the project was introduced, we had engaged so many of our followers over Facebook and Twitter!– Arissa

Social media provided an awesome way to promote the KIND Campaign and spread the word about our mission. The photo campaign on Facebook was a really fun way to get friends and co-workers involved, as we were able to tag the individuals in our photos to spread the word even further about #MemunatuKIND. We also created an original #MemunatuKIND video, which we filmed together and I produced. This video allowed us to talk a bit more in depth about the KIND Campaign, and it helped us show why our initiative is so important to us. Ultimately, social media really helped us bring our campaign to life. –Taylor

One of the most well-known quotes by Aesop states that “No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.” As we’ve wrapped up the KIND Campaign , I’ve reflected a lot on this quote and what it means to promote kindness in our everyday lives. Through acts such as #KINDLittleThings and our own individual KIND pledges when we voted, we took the opportunity to spread kindness in both big and small ways. Regardless of the official outcome of the KIND Campaign, I believe that the Memunatu Team has worked tirelessly over the course of the past month to uphold the mission of KIND Causes and and spread kindness (one of the ultimate goals of the campaign).–Arissa

Let’s keep the momentum from KIND Causes going 🙂
