Welcome to the Team: Rachel Snead

Sasa! My name is Rachel Snead and I am currently working as the Fundraising Intern for Memunatu Magazine this summer. I am a senior at American University studying International Studies with a focus on development in Africa and a minor in Public Health. When I am not busy with school or internships you can find me babysitting, serving as the New Member Educator for my sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, or taking a class at the gym. I have just arrived back from a semester abroad in Kenya where I interned at a rescue shelter for girls who have been victims of trafficking and I am excited to continue working on girls’ empowerment at Memunatu Magazine. After having hosted my own personal fundraisers for the girls’ at the shelter where I interned, I am excited to apply these skills to my internship here at Memunatu and to see if it is a career that I could continue to pursue in my future.
